5 places where to eat in North London

International is the perfect word to describe London. There are thousand of restaurants, bars where you can actually taste every kind of meal from everywhere around the world. Here five more suggestions for all tastes.

Franco Manca
I define myself as a pizza lover. Living abroad as an Italian sometimes it is difficult, especially because it's so hard to find a decent pizza and after some weeks I'd start craving for it, it's like an addiction!!
When I was living in London thanks to a friend of mine I discovered this Italian Pizzeria "Franco Manca" and I feel comfortable to say that as far as I know it is the best pizza in the city. The pizzas selection is restricted to just 8-9 different types because the focus is on ingredients. Furthermore, the prices are really fair and the quality is excellent.

Jamon Jamon
It is a Spanish restaurant/tapas bar where you can taste paella, sangria and meat, fish or vegetarian tapas. It's a good alternative if you want to eat something different and the food is appetising. In the venue, you will breathe an authentic and spontaneous atmosphere with good Spanish music.

Dim T
An Oriental food restaurant specialised in Dim Sum, a traditional Chinese way to cook, which consists of small-sized portions of different steam food served in small baskets.
Dim Sum
I went here with my parents when they came to visit me because we wanted to try something unusual and also the restaurant looked really lovely. Undeniably, the priority is that food needs to be good but a nice venue with an oriental atmosphere makes everything better! It has more location around London and this one was the first opened.
The interior in Hampstead
In Italy, I am used to eating sushi and seldom Chinese food, but this type of cuisine is completely different. I was really impressed by the wide selection of plates and moreover I love spicy food and rice cooked in every way and with everything in it, so it was definitely something for me to try. The menu offers noodles and noodles soup, various rice recipes with fish, meat or vegetables and of course Dim Sum. The cuisine is suitable for everyone, they have gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options and nowadays it's really clever to offer such varied alternatives.

Gail’s Artisan Bakery
As a 100% Italian, my fuel is coffee and I don't want this to sound judgemental but Americano is no my thing. I need a real and strong espresso or cappuccino for starting the day! I am sincere and I admit that I used to work here, but I am also objective and I can say out loud that here the coffee is really good! Many Italians know how difficult it is to find a decent espresso abroad and that's why I always bring a Moka pot with me!
Breakfast at Gail's with coffee, tea and cakes
Gail's is not just a cafeteria, it's also a bakery and they sell fresh bread which is delivered every morning from the main bakery to the different shops around London. They have a wide range of bread around 30 types, even in Italy we don't have so many! My favourite is for sure the mixed olives sourdough and the french dark sourdough which fit perfectly with everything from avocado toast to jam when it is toasted.
Breads selection
The menu offers different types of sweets and savoury for breakfast (you have no idea how much I miss their cinnamon rolls and seeded cheese straws!!) , cakes, afternoon tea desserts, sandwiches and salad and in addition hot meals like eggs with salmon or bacon, avocado toast etc at breakfast and lunch time.
It's the perfect place for a coffee to go and the venue is really cosy so it's also perfect for a brunch on the weekend or just chilling and enjoying a meal with good company.

Ginger and White
This is probably my favourite cafe in Hampstead. The venue is really intimate and rustic. It is located in a small street near the main road which is really quiet and characteristic. My favourite spot to seat it is outside and during the coldest days they would provide blankets. There is also another cafe - five minutes away in Belsize Park - which is really nice too.

Why do I like it? It not just about the venue, of course.  The coffee is really good and they also have a wide selection of cakes, sweets, salty food and so on. It's the perfect place if you want to read a book and chill in a relaxed atmosphere.
