Tasting North London: Things to do in Hampstead

01:49:00

The northern part of London is absolutely my favourite. Probably it is due to the fact that I lived here for a while so it reminds me one of the best time of my life and it feels like home. Besides that, the beauty and the atmosphere of this territory are undeniable. Now to come to the point, what you should not miss at all of this hidden gem.

Hampstead Heat Park
This is the ancient park in London and also one of the larger covering 320 hectares. It is the perfect place to take a walk during the day or just chilling and reading a book under a tree. In the weekends you should expect a lot of families, groups of friends and lovely couples who are enjoying their free time having a pick nick and playing games.
One of the thing that I love the most of Hampstead Heat is that there are not so many tourists and it is not so crowded even on the weekend since it is so extended. There are also many ponds and lawns around, there is plenty of space where to go running and furthermore, the park offers excellent facilities for organised sport including athletics, cycling, swimming and tennis.
From the top of Parliament Hill you can enjoy the view of the capital's skyline.

In the park, it is also located "Kenwood House" a former stately home that now is open to the public and offers a free visit to gorgeous interiors and art collections.

Hampstead Heat Village
Hampstead Village is the type of place you feel you've been before. The village is lovely, full of nice cafes, pubs and restaurant, and also fashion boutiques. The atmosphere is so cosy, it is like walking in a small village apart from the chaos of the city.
St John's Downshire Hill Church
A lot of celebrities and wealthy families live here since there are some of the most expensive housing in the London area.

How to reach:
